Application variables
There are a selection of variables that can have an impact on the decision made on your application. These are:
- Health conditions (past, present and ongoing)
- Financial issues (bankruptcy, recent self-employed etc.)
- Occupational risks (working with dangerous substances, being in the armed forces etc.)
Though these variables can have an impact on your application and the final offer made, they will rarely result in an insurance company declining to cover you. Time is always taken for an underwriter to have a full understanding of your specific situation. This is done through questionnaires, touching base with your GP (with your consent) and further tele-underwriting done by the insurance company and yourself.
